PGN Subholding Gas Pertamina Ensures Safe Natural Gas Distribution During Idul Adha 1445 H Holidays

Jakarta – PT PGN Tbk, as part of Pertamina's Subholding Gas, ensures the availability and safe distribution of natural gas to the public during the Idul Adha 1445 H holiday and collective leave period. PGN, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is committed to maintaining the security of natural gas infrastructure, both pipeline and non-pipeline, as well as all supporting services and infrastructure.

PGN’s Commercial Director, Ratih Esti Prihatini, explained that during the Idul Adha holiday period, PGN is ensuring that natural gas supply is sufficient to meet the needs of its customers, including households, small customers/UMKM, power plants, industries & commercial sectors, and transportation in various regions. The safety and operability of the natural gas infrastructure are also being closely monitored to ensure the smooth transportation of gas from the source to customers.

Household customers make up the largest segment for PGN, with a total of 823,741 households (SR) spread across 73 cities/districts in 17 provinces. For the industrial and commercial sectors, PGN currently serves 3,133 customers, along with 1,987 small/UMKM customers. PGN's current natural gas distribution capacity stands at approximately 858 BBTUD, which is sufficient to meet customer needs.

“PGN guarantees the reliability of natural gas distribution to support household customers and small customers celebrating Idul Adha. Our natural gas service is on standby 24 hours a day in case of any issues with gas usage. We also ensure that gas distribution for industrial, commercial, power generation, and transportation operations remains uninterrupted,” Ratih said on June 17, 2024.

PGN Subholding Gas Pertamina utilizes supplies from various sources, using active infrastructure, including 13,005 km of gas pipelines, 13 SPBG (Compressed Natural Gas stations), 4 MRU (Mobile Refueling Units), and 3 LNG terminals. Currently, PGN’s natural gas distribution to customers is in a safe operational status across Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Eastern Indonesia.

“PGN Subholding Gas Pertamina has a team on standby 24 hours a day, continuously coordinating with Pertamina as the parent company regarding the safety of gas supply and distribution. The team is ready to respond promptly to any potential disruptions,” Ratih added.

PGN’s natural gas customer service is integrated with the Pertamina Call Center at 135, which operates 24 hours a day to assist customers or the public in need of help. Additionally, the public can contact the nearest sales area for support.
