PGN Ensures Safe and Reliable Natural Gas Services During Idul Fitri 1445 H with RAFI 2024 Task Force
Jakarta – A week before the 2024 Idul Fitri holiday, PT PGN Tbk, as the Subholding Gas of Pertamina, has ensured the preparedness of its Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 2024 Task Force (Satgas RAFI 2024). The task force will continue its duties after Idul Fitri until April 21, 2024.
Currently, the delivery of natural gas in 18 provinces and 74 districts is running smoothly and safely. PGN manages a supply of approximately 866 BBTUD, while the gas trade volume is around 860 BBTUD, distributed to 819,197 household connections (SR), 3,108 commercial and industrial clients, and 1,986 small businesses. The supply of CNG for transportation is also secure with a distribution of 22,133 LSP.
From the Satgas RAFI Subholding Gas post at IMOC Graha PGAS Jakarta, all infrastructure and facilities of Subholding Gas are also being monitored and are secure. PGN Group currently owns and manages 32,343 km of gas pipelines, 16 SPBGs (CNG Filling Stations), and 3 LNG terminals. The RAFI 2024 Task Force involves subsidiaries and affiliates, ensuring that operations are carried out in an integrated manner.
"Satgas RAFI PGN has been actively monitoring and controlling the gas supply so that all customers can celebrate the holiday comfortably. Gas pressure monitoring is also done in real time through the SCADA system. To maintain safety, the RAFI Task Force conducts periodic patrols of the network and infrastructure," explained Ratih Esti Prihatini, Director of Sales and Operations at PGN, on April 2, 2024.
Ratih further added that the disruption response team is on standby 24 hours a day to ensure the reliability of gas delivery and to address any incidents. Customers or the public who require assistance with natural gas can contact the Call Center at 135 or the PGN Area Office. PGN has reinforced both internal and external security by involving the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the National Police (POLRI).
"We are also proactive in addressing potential gas supply disruptions by utilizing LNG from the FSRU Lampung for gas supplies to the PLN Group. Additionally, CNG is used as a backup supply in case of transmission issues," Ratih stated.
As of now, there have been no incidents affecting the smooth operation of the RAFI 2024 Task Force. Nevertheless, PGN remains vigilant by tightening security and increasing awareness to prevent any security incidents that could disrupt or harm the operational environment.
Ratih reminded household gas users to pay attention to safety when leaving their homes for an extended period, such as traveling for Idul Fitri. Gas users are advised to close the valve near the meter to stop the gas flow automatically.
Natural gas bill payments can be made anytime through e-commerce platforms based on the gas usage. Gas bills are issued on the 6th of each month, with payments due between the 6th and 20th. To monitor real-time gas usage, customers are encouraged to download the PGN Mobile app.
