Supplying 18 BBTUD of Natural Gas, PGN Supports Solar Panel Industry Development

Surabaya (15/08/2024) – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), as Pertamina's Gas Subholding, signed a Supplier Integrity Agreement with PT Xinyi Solar Indonesia (XSI). Simultaneously, PGN handed over a Natural Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) to XSI. This agreement marks the implementation of PGN's business development and energy provision commitments, particularly for natural gas in East Java.

Under the PJBG, PGN and XSI commit to the utilization of natural gas up to 18 BBTUD as per the agreed contractual terms. XSI, located in the Gresik JIIPE Special Economic Zone, is a leading global producer of solar panel glass.

PGN’s Commercial Director, Ratih Esti Prihatini, emphasized PGN's commitment to delivering reliable natural gas services to XSI. "We hope this partnership can continue to grow by providing our customers with clean energy, namely natural gas, as an environmentally friendly energy source. We will maintain the quality of gas services to consistently support XSI's production activities," Ratih stated.

Wang Ranchun, General Manager of XSI, expressed his hope that PGN would maintain the sustainability of natural gas supplies to support their company's operations. "We hope this future collaboration will be mutually beneficial," Wang said.

PGN continuously strives to provide reliable natural gas supplies to its users across Indonesia. As a provider of low-emission fossil energy, PGN aims to contribute to the government's efforts to promote environmentally friendly industries.
