PGN SOR III Commitment to Empowering UMKM in Kedungturi Village Through Digital Marketing and Packaging Training
Sidoarjo, June 14, 2024 - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk - Sales and Operation Region III (PGN SOR III) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) through its Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. As part of its ongoing efforts to empower the community, PGN SOR III conducted digital marketing and packaging training for UMKM groups in Kedungturi Village, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, on Friday, June 14, 2024.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of local UMKM in the digital era, enabling them to utilize technology and innovation to expand their markets and increase sales. The participants were given materials on digital marketing strategies, the use of social media for business, and the importance of attractive and functional packaging.
Through this TJSL program, PT PGN SOR III hopes to create a sustainable positive impact on the Kedungturi community. "In addition to the training, PGN SOR III also plans to implement follow-up mentoring programs to ensure the successful implementation of the training outcomes," said PGN SOR III Sidoarjo Area Head Mohammad Makki.
During the training session, participants were given the opportunity to receive guidance and feedback on developing their respective UMKM products. The session was led by Nuril R. Rasyid, a digital marketing and packaging expert with 12 years of experience in the field. Nuril highlighted that such activities provide a positive opportunity to boost the community's economy.
"No business is too small to benefit from digital marketing. With the right strategy, UMKM can reach new customers, increase sales, and build a strong brand. In this digital era, leveraging technology and social media is key to survival and growth," said Nuril during the training.
The training was enthusiastically attended by UMKM groups in Kedungturi Village and also included representatives from BUMDes and the Karang Taruna Gentara Sakti group. "This digital marketing and packaging training has provided us with valuable knowledge and opened our minds to improve sales strategies and create more attractive packaging to boost future sales," said Rachmad, one of the UMKM activists in Kedungturi Village.
