PGN Solution and LEMIGAS Establish Collaborative Partnership in Oil & Gas Sector

Jakarta – PT PGAS Solution (PGN Solution), a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGN), and the Balai Besar Pengujian Minyak dan Gas Bumi LEMIGAS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to officially establish a collaboration in testing, calibration, procurement of goods and services, and the utilization of oil and gas laboratory facilities. This partnership also aims to raise awareness about the importance of implementing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects in all project work, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas office in South Jakarta on Monday, March 25. The event was attended by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, the Head of LEMIGAS, the CEO of PGN, the CEO of PGN Solution, and the directors and management of PGN, PGN Solution, and PT Solusi Energi Nusantara (SENA).

The signing of this MoU is a joint effort between the two parties to enhance business cooperation, workforce competencies, and expertise. PGN Solution and LEMIGAS will continue to improve operational quality through information and knowledge exchange, workshops, seminars, and other activities related to the oil and gas sector.

"I hope this activity can be conducted properly by paying attention to the values of Schedule, Cost, and Quality. Schedules must be on time, costs must not exceed the budget, and quality must be carefully maintained to optimize the benefits. If we are attentive, this collaboration presents a significant opportunity to achieve many benefits," said the Director General of Oil and Gas, Tutuka Ariadji.

Furthermore, the CEO of PGN, Arief S. Handoko, expressed that the partnership between PGN Solution and LEMIGAS is expected to be a very comprehensive collaboration. "As we can see, the content of today's MoU will be implemented across various fields. From testing, calibration, procurement of goods and services, certification, knowledge sharing, workshops, and more. This is truly a comprehensive collaboration. An extraordinary synergy that I am confident will bring great benefits to the nation," he stated.

Some of the oil and gas projects previously undertaken by PGN Solution include the Offtake Station at Tambak Lorok, the development of household gas networks in Wajo and Banggai districts, the replacement of oil pipes in the Rokan Block, the oil pipeline from Pengapon to Boyolali, and the development of gas infrastructure in the Kendal Industrial Zone (KIK) – Mangkang and Batang Integrated Industrial Zone (KIT).

With the signing of the MoU, a green light has been given for the start of a series of synergistic activities between PGN Solution and LEMIGAS for the next three years, aimed at improving excellence in meeting society's energy needs with a focus on expertise and work safety.

Regarding work safety, PGN Solution operates in the EPC, O&M, and Supply Chain sectors across a wide operational area, which involves high-risk work. Therefore, for PGN Solution, the implementation of HSSE is crucial for business sustainability and requires special attention.

PGN Solution is committed to the comprehensive implementation of HSSE aspects in its work environment by applying the Integrated Management System ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001, and SMK3 PP 50/2012. During operations, PGN Solution has achieved 14,381,170 safe working hours.

"Furthermore, PGN Solution provides competent resources, enhances competencies through training and certification, and ensures appropriate equipment. Additionally, as a contractor, PGN Solution always complies with the HSSE programs and procedures set by clients. To ensure the implementation of these HSSE programs, PGN Solution's K3PL Division and Security team conduct periodic monitoring and audits. Management also regularly reviews the implementation of HSSE practices," explained Sabaruddin, the CEO of PGN Solution.
