Idul Adha 1445 H: PGN Distributes 382 Qurban Animals Around Its Operational Areas

Jakarta, 17/06/2024 – PT PGN Tbk, as a Subholding Gas of Pertamina, conducted the slaughter, cutting, and distribution of qurban animals during the celebration of Idul Adha 1445 H, which took place on Monday, June 17, 2024. PGN Group distributed 382 qurban animals, consisting of 34 cows and 348 goats.

The qurban animals were distributed to supporting workers and communities in areas around PGN’s operational offices, including Jakarta, Tangerang, Cilegon, Bogor, Bekasi, Karawang, Cirebon, Medan, Pekanbaru, Dumai, Batam, Lampung, Palembang, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, Bojonegoro, Semarang, Balikpapan, Kutai Kertanegara, Samarinda, Tarakan, Sorong, Banggai, Wajo, and Pagar Dewa.

"The distribution of qurban animals is a routine agenda for PGN Group during Idul Adha. We hope the distribution can bring benefits and happiness to the community and blessings for the company," said PGN President Director Arief Setiawan Handoko during the symbolic qurban animal handover at PGN’s Head Office in Jakarta on June 17, 2024.

A total of 19 cows and 8 goats were slaughtered for PGN Group’s supporting workers, including security personnel, drivers, office boys, cleaning service staff, receptionists, secretaries, CSOs, admins, and members of the Gas Bajaj Community (KOBAGAS).

For the communities and stakeholders around the operational areas, PGN distributed 16 cows and 340 goats. The qurban meat was handed over to people in areas such as Jakarta, Tangerang, Cilegon, Bogor, Bekasi, Karawang, Cirebon, Medan, Pekanbaru, Dumai, Batam, Lampung, Palembang, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, Bojonegoro, Semarang, Balikpapan, Kutai Kertanegara, Samarinda, Tarakan, Sorong, Banggai, Wajo, and Pagar Dewa.

"PGN wishes a blessed Idul Adha 1445 H to all Muslims who celebrate. May the blessings of qurban be bestowed upon us and serve as a reminder to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, care, and sharing with one another," said Arief.

On behalf of the company, Arief also expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the slaughtering, cutting, and distribution of qurban animals in PGN Group.

"PGN continues to strive for positive operational performance, which should be balanced with a spiritual approach and social harmony with the community. Through qurban, this activity contributes to supporting the company by fostering closeness to the Creator and bringing benefits to the community on this festive occasion," added Arief.
